Burnished by time and imbued with history, our unrivaled collection of vintage and antique rugs has been curated with an artist's eye for uncommon beauty, character, quality and provenance. Crafted by generations of nomadic weavers, villagers and historic workshops, each rug is made by hand and tells a unique story of a place and a people, expressing their craft in one-of-a-kind creations. From the royal carpets of Agra to masterful French Aubussons, the jewel motifs of classical Persians to the geometry of Turkish Oushaks, our singular rugs represent the world's finest rug-making traditions.

Serapi rugs, woven in the Heriz region of Northwest Persia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, represent the finest and most artistically distinguished subset of Heriz-type carpets. Hand knotted in small village workshops before the rise of commercial weaving, Serapis are known for their elegantly rendered medallions and refined compositions. High-quality, lustrous wool produced resilient, textured pile and a weave that is lighter and more refined than later Heriz rugs. Revered for their balance of bold structure and understated sophistication, Serapi rugs are among the most collectible Persian village weaves.
